Nothing like a warm crumble for breakfast! Even better if you’ve got a healthy version! Here you go! Berry & peach crumble or rather apple crumble? Whatever! You’ll find both here! Check it out!

Ingredients for two crumble toppings

100g oatmeal

4 tablespoons maple syrup

2 tablespoons butter (or margarine)

Start with preparing the crumble topping. Melt the butter or margarine. If you don’t have oatmeal you can simply crush your oats in a strong food processor until a flour begins to form. Mix the oat flour with the molten butter or margarine and 4 tablespoons maple syrup to get a nice crumbly consistency. If it’s not yet crumbly just add some more fat. Check out if the sweetness is enough for you and add some more syrup if not so. Set aside. If you want to prepare four portions because you want to try both fillings or you’re just hungry, don’t forget to double the amounts for the topping. Heat the oven to 200°C, no fan necessary. Find the recipes for the fillings underneath!

Filling for two berry & peach crumbles

2 peaches

a handful of raspberries

a handful of strawberries

3 tablespoons of maple syrup

Cut the peaches and strawberries into small cubes. Heat the syrup only very short in a little pan and then add the peaches, strawberries and raspberries. You could also use frozen raspberries, I do so too. When it’s all hot and looks like kind of a jam pour it into two little pie tins. Sprinkle it with the prepared crumble. Bake your small crumbles for about 10 minutes. You can set the oven grill to get a nice light brown colour or add a small piece of butter or margarine to melt on the top. Enjoy!

Filling for two apple crumbles

2 apples

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon cardamom

Peel and cut the apples into small cubes. Heat the syrup only very short in a little pan and then add the apples. Add the lemon juice and stir in the cinnamon and cardamom. When it’s all hot and the apples are soft put them into two little pie tins. Sprinkle it with the prepared crumble. Bake your small crumbles for about 10 minutes. You can set the oven grill to get a nice light brown colour or add a small piece of butter or margarine to melt on the top. Enjoy!
